Are you looking for a great family hotel in Flagstaff, Arizona? The Holiday Inn Express Flagstaff worked well for us recently providing all the amenities we needed at a great price.

We traveled to Flagstaff with our 3- and 6-year-old little boys to visit Santa at The North Pole Experience. The Holiday Inn Express is only a few minutes away from where you board the trolley to Santa’s Workshop and is also a partner hotel of The North Pole Experience, which meant we received a special discounted rate. It’s location within the heart of Flagstaff and near I-40 makes it convenient to many activities, restaurants and shopping.

Family-Friendly Hotel Amenities

Free breakfast is definitely one of our preferred hotel amenities because it saves us so much time and money. The complimentary Express Start Breakfast is available every morning. Their breakfast bar includes cinnamon rolls, scrambled eggs, bacon, biscuits & gravy, pancakes, cereal, yogurt, milk, juice and more. My boys love hotel breakfasts because we give them free reign to choose what they want. With so many options, they always end up with interesting choices.  In addition, coffee, tea, and hot cocoa is available all day in the dining area with cookies in the afternoon.

Our hotel room was bigger than I expected with plenty of room for two queen beds and space for us to spread out. I appreciated the oversized mini fridge, large bathroom counter, and plenty of electrical outlets. And don’t worry, free wifi is included.

We didn’t have time to swim but the hotel does offer an indoor/outdoor heated pool and spa. They also offer a fitness room, business center and video game room. Next time we will pack our swimsuits!

I was initially concerned about the elevators because they seemed older and the hotel was very busy. However, we never waited more than a few minutes for an elevator, so my concern was moot!

  • If you are headed to Flagstaff, you might consider a side trip to Williams, Arizona, to check out Bearizona or board a train to the Grand Canyon.
