DINING IN THE WOODLANDS
You’ve hit the restaurant jackpot with endless dining choices in The Woodlands with something for everyone and then some. Here are 5 of our top picks for chowing down in the Woodlands:
1. Americas Restaurant
This Pan-Latin menu has something for everyone to dine on and something that meets their needs. The Four Course Dinner has a sampling of their best options. What’s really nice is the menu can be light fare to a full meal.
2. The Crush Wine Lounge
The Crush Wine Lounge is a bar with great food. It does not open until 4 PM, so it’s the perfect place to hang out at in the late afternoon and stay for dinner. The outdoor seating area is the best. Located on the Waterway makes it a great spot to have fun, hang out, and people watch. The wine selection is stellar, and the menu has everything from light bites to cowboy ribeyes, and great veggie options.
3. BRIO Tuscan Grille
When looking for Italian, BRIO should satisfy, as they believe that “to eat well is to live well.” This restaurant does offer an outside seating area beside the waterway, a perfect place to enjoy a glass of wine. It is reasonably priced and always consistent with service and food.
4. The Counter
Located right across the street from the Hyatt in the Market Place, The Counter has some of the best burgers and french fries we have ever had. The sweet potato fries are a must. The Counter is a chain restaurant, so you may have tried it elsewhere. We especially love that the all-natural and 100% Angus meat. For vegetarian or those looking to for a lighter bite, choose from veggie and bowl options, including a really delicious veggie burger.
5. Hubbell and Hudson
This is our favorite restaurant in The Woodlands! Hubbell and Hudson offer two dining options, the Bistro and the Kitchen. The menu changes based on the season and product availability, as the chef uses as much local product as available.Lunch menu items include their Signature Ramen and a great Maine Lobster Sandwich. Dinner is a culinary experience paired with craft cocktails that are oh, so good. We can spend hours at Hubbell and Hudson and do!
FAMILY TIME IN THE WOODLANDS
The Woodlands is a perfect place for the entire family. Choose from great activities and hotels or resorts . Enjoy tons of water activities, like renting kayaks at Riva Row Boat House on The Woodlands Waterway. The Woodlands also has its own Children’s Museum with hands-on learning experiences. We feel the area is very safe and allow our older kids to wander and meet us at a designated spot. The Market Place has one of many open areas where you can picnic, hear music, enjoy yoga, and let the kids just play. Bu,t there are also so many open areas that you can enjoy.
The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion is located in the heart of The Woodlands. We have enjoyed everyone from the Dave Matthews Band to Hall & Oates to Florence and the Machine. This outdoor pavilion is a great place to relax and enjoy the music. Food and drinks are served inside the pavilion as well. Make sure to check the schedule and pre-book your tickets. But, if you were unable to get tickets don’t worry. We have found many great locations to sit and enjoy the music from outside and you will not be the only ones. People set up in the afternoon and make a day of it.
