Moms Visit Disney Parks With No KidsEvery mom has daydreamed about having some downtime to themselves. But what about while you are visiting a Disney park? This past weekend, I got a hall pass along with four other moms and ran loose inside Disney’s Animal Kingdom Park. That’s right Disney with moms (no kids) Here is what mayhem ensued.

Because some of us have toddlers or smaller children at Disney that are either too little or too afraid to ride the thrilling roller coaster, Expedition Everest we decided to encounter the Yeti first. It was a first for me, and I’ve gotta warn ya, it’s not for the faint of heart.

After surviving the Yeti and without the worry of when to feed our kids, we headed over the Yak and Yeti Restaurant for mid-day cocktails and some tasty appetizers. The restaurant offers table service, frozen libations and a great view of the parade. Be sure to sit upstairs and order the Emperor Margarita and the Seared Ahi Tuna-you will thank me later.

Know what else moms can do at Disney Parks without kids? That’s right, shop. And not the rushed kind where your husband wants to know when you can go, or the kids are bugging you to buy them a toy. The kind where moms can daydream about having some downtime to themselves.

Shhhh, don’t tell the kids.

I was a guest of Disney Parks during my recent visit to Animal Kingdom.
