Over the years a tradition has been formed in my family. Whenever a road trip comes to an end we like to finish it with a BANG! For our grand finale I chose Sinclair’s Restaurant at Jupiter Beach Resort.

The plan was to get there in time for the sunset. This would give us time to chill as the kids played outside. Unfortunately, there was a cold front when we arrived. The wind was so strong that my baby started crying and refused to eat outside.

Interestingly enough, when I made the reservation the hostess said that she had a feeling we might change our minds. So she reserved a table for us with a great view in warmth and comfort.

My oldest boy and I went out a couple of times to pretend we were eating there and to enjoy the outside. The dining area has a campfire at the actual table. It would have warmed us up if the wind wasn’t blowing it out every time.

DisclosureTMOMAs a celebration for the successful two weeks on the road that we just had we decided to start with an international cheese dish. In Guatemala you can commonly find local fresh cheese to bland cheddar cheese. It is hard to find anything else. So you can imagine how excited we were to taste real cheese.

The kids menu was a hit! It had tons of good food and the hot dog that my son ordered was far from being your average hot dog. It was a meaty, roasted and incredibly delicious version.

I ordered the scallop dish. This is another thing that you don’t get in Guatemala. So when this dish arrived my jaw literally dropped. The scallops

were huge, almost the size of mini hockey pucks. At first I felt a bit disappointed when I saw only four of them on my plate. But after the third one, I literally had to stuff the fourth one down my throat. The plate was way too much for me but worth every effort of filling myself to the max.

My husband ordered a scrumptious seafood pasta dish. I’ll admit that I had one too many tastes of his. I think that’s what made me finishing my dish so difficult.

My oldest son was still angry that we couldn’t sit outdoors so I got him the smores dish to make him happy. I’ve had many in my life so I thought he’d love them, but these were unlike the others I had before. It was over flowing with goodness.

After dinner we walked around the property to digest the food. We spent some time on the hammocks and some more at the bar, listening to live music.

Information for Visiting Jupiter Beach Resort and Sinclair’s Restaurant

I knew it was a good restaurant from all the reviews, but to be honest, I never thought it would be as amazing as it was. I was so pleased with this truly delicious restaurant and with the fine dining atmosphere yet totally casual and kid friendly.
