My plan B came into action: “Stay as close as you can to Legoland”.
Finding Hotels Near Legoland Florida
Since our plans went from a lot of time driving to “I want us to walk to Legoland” I started what I thought would be a challenge: to find the best hotel in Winter Haven. But it ended up being a pretty easy task.
1. We don’t like to stay at chain hotels – that eliminated over 80% of them.
2. It had to be less than one mile away – this eliminated all but one – Park View Hotel.
This mid size hotel literally overlooks Legoland. It is a 15 minute walk. Plus if you did want to drive to it Park View gives you 50% refund on the parking at the park. No matter what you win.
The hotel didn’t have vacation rentals or spacious suites but it was still perfect for us. We were going to spend all day at the park and would only come back to the hotel to sleep.
Our Hotel Stay
Sleeping – Each room is two double beds.
Extra beds – Wherever we go, we need to have at least 3 beds. My boys don’t sleep together. They are violent sleepers. So we got a very comfy roll-out bed in our room, this still provided just enough room for us to get around.Breakfast is included – that is a huge money savior.
Pool time – A rare cold front was going through Florida when we were there, climate dropped to less than 50 degrees, so no pool time for my boys. Gratefully, with the Legoland adventure the kids never truly bummed out about no pool time.
Service – Each member of the staff was incredibly friendly. We got help really quick whenever we needed it.
