JumpyPlace1If you’re in the San Antonio area and your kids need to get the ants out of their pants, try a bounce house like The Jumpy Place.

The Jumpy Place in New Braunfels (there is also one in Kyle, Texas) was perfect for me and my kids and our friends. It’s filled with bouncy slides and castles, a kids’ paradise and a joy for moms as well. It’s just the right size so you can keep an eye on all the kids while lounging with a complementary coffee and surfing the web on the free wifi.

I also didn’t worry about my just-turned-3-year-old if he was out of sight for a minute as all the jumpy things were relatively safe for him (it was my 7 year old who got slide burn!). There was another small area for younger kids he liked to hang out in too. My friend who went with me said it was better than another one she went to closer to San Antonio as the size and layout made it easier to keep an eye on the kids.JumpyPlace2
What’s more, they helped us order some pizzas from a local pizza place so we could eat lunch without leaving. Cathy, who appeared to be the owner, was very welcoming and for the kids (and adults) who forgot to wear socks, gave us pairs free of charge.

We used a Groupon to get in 6 kids for $20. Regular rates are $7/child. They often update their Facebook page to let people know when school groups will be in. When it’s quiet as it was when we were there, it’s perfect.
