The luxury boutique Hotel Providence has been recognized, once again, as the top rated hotel in the Rhode Island category for rooms and service in Zagat’s 2008 Guide for Top U.S Hotels, Resorts and Spas.
Located in the center of the Downcity Arts and Entertainment District, the 80-room luxury hotel opened in early 2005 and has since received several awards and recognitions including Four Diamonds by AAA, Best of New England by Yankee Magazine and New England Travel and Life, Best of the East by Meetings East magazine, as well as historic preservation awards. It was also the top rated hotel in RI in the 2007 Zagat Top U.S. Hotels, Resorts and Spas Guide. Hotel Providence is also home to the Four Diamond L’Epicureo Ristorante, which features fine Italian cuisine.
The Hotel Providence received “excellent to perfection” marks in the Rooms and Service categories, topping all other rated Rhode Island hotels listed in the current edition, and “very good to excellent” marks in the Public Space/Facilities and Dining categories.
According to the guide, Zagat reviewed over 1,000 places to stay as the best for business or pleasure in the U.S., Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands for the 2007 edition. The survey participants who rate the hotels are frequent travelers of all ages who spend a lot of time on the road, as well as over 900 travel professionals from the American Society of Travel Agents.
“Once again, are honored to have received such wonderful ratings by Zagat, one of the most respected guides for travel professionals. As always, this recognition reflects our employees’ strong sense of teamwork and commitment to higher standards of service,” said Christine Nevers, General Manager of the Hotel Providence.
