The town of Hershey, Pennsylvania, becomes a magical winter wonderland illuminated with more than 2 million sparkling lights during the annual Christmas in Hershey celebration.

This year you can have your Christmas celebration in the town famous for its chocolate.

Festivities begin in Novevmber as “Hershey Sweet Lights, A Holiday Drive-Thru Spectacular” opens for the season. Shimmering with more than 1 million lights that create nearly 600  displays, Sweet Lights winds its way over more than 2.3 miles on a wooded hillside–all easily viewed from the warmth and comfort of your car. More than 75 percent of the displays are animated and include themes such as “Frosty’s Wild Ride,” a tribute to amusement parks; “Traditional Holidays,” displays that share different religious beliefs of the season; and “Enchanted Forest,” featuring woodland animals preparing for the holiday season.

The yuletide cheer continues at nearby Hersheypark Christmas Candylane, where more than 1 million lights transform the Park into an enchanting holiday village with more than 30 rides, Santa and his nine live reindeer, entertainment, games, shops, and food through Dec. 31. Guests can take a magical journey aboard The Candylane Twilight Express or enjoy a heart warming musical in the Music Box Theatre.
