One of Rhode Island’s premiere family attractions is the Roger Williams Zoo. The Zoo is a fun place at any time of year but during Halloween it is extra special. One of Roger Williams Park Zoo’s most popular annual events is Spooky Zoo. There are trick or treat stations, pumpkin carving demonstrations, a costume contest, live music, games, amazing animal encounters, costumed characters, and pumpkin treats for the animals.
The dates for Spooky Zoo this year are October 17th, 18th, 24th and 25th and offer a family-friendly way to have some Halloween fun during the daylight hours. Spooky Zoo activities are free with Zoo admission, and kids 12 and under who come in costume get half-price admission.
And new this year, the Zoo is hosting Spooktacular Pumpkin Parties on the dates above as well. The Parties, which require an advance ticket purchase, offer some extra special treats and entertainment in addition to the regular Spooky Zoo festivities. Party attendees will enjoy the Zoo and all Spooky Zoo activities plus an exclusive magic show by acclaimed magician Matt Roberts or Steve Zany, a paint-your-own pumpkin activity, a costume contest, fun family games and tasty treats. Party tickets are $19.95 for adults ($17.95 for Zoo members), $14.95 for children ages 3 to 12 ($13.95 for members) and $4.95 for children under 3. Please visit the event calendar for more information on both events above.
