Miranda July’s “Eleven Heavy Things” interactive sculpure exhibit is now showing at Union Square Park. It is a fun exhibit for the whole family. There are 11 interactive pieces that are either inscribed pedestals or these really cool headresses.
One headress looks like a really neat mosaic and another looks like the Burberry plaid pattern. You and your kids will love roaming through the park reading the inscribed pieces and standing along or underneath the headresses. My favorite pedestal reads – “This is my little girl. She is brave and clever and funny. She will have none of the problems I have. Her heart will never be broken. She will never be humiliated. Self-doubt will never devour her dreams.” I certainly hope so.
