Vegan diets, recipes and food is all the rage these days and for many, it is a personal choice that has often left them making all of their own meals. However, there are now quality restaurants providing options for vegans as well as those who eat gluten-free or prefer organics.
There are 4 restaurants in Rhode Island that I enjoy and cater to those living the Vegan lifestyle and those who do not as well. The four include Garden Grill, Melanie’s Vegan Eden, Crazy Burger and Madhouse Café.
The Garden Grille in Pawtucket, offers a wide variety of vegan dishes. This vegetarian restaurant is casual and comfy. The owners also just opened a new Vegan Bakery called Wildflour Vegan Bakery and Juice Bar, located in Pawtucket.
Melanie’s Vegan Eden is well regarded as having ‘the best vegan cheesecake in the universe’ which makes waiting to get into this small establishment well worth the wait.
Crazy Burger, is always busy and also always worth the wait, The decor is funky and eclectic and my family’s favorite place to eat after hitting the beaches in Narragansett. The menu is large and makes you wish it had a buffet of all the offerings as it is so hard to choose just one or two items.
