Seasonal direct service from Denver to downtown Harrisburg on Frontier Airlines (May – January) opened up a whole new part of the country my family is eager to explore. Our first taste of Central Pennsylvania came this summer when we spent the night of our arrival at the downtown Harrisburg Hilton.
Just as one could expect from Hilton, the Hilton Harrisburg provides everything a weary traveler could need: comfort, class and convenience. Complimentary WiFi, a heated indoor pool and state-of-the-art cardio and strength training equipment are just a few of the modern amenities you will enjoy.
One amenity you can’t put a price on are the views of the Harrisburg skyline and the Susquehanna River from your room.
Things to Do in Downtown Harrisburg
15 minutes from Harrisburg International Airport, the Hilton is located right smack in the middle of it all in historic downtown.
Just two blocks from the State Capitol Complex, the Hilton is also connected by an enclosed walkway to the Whitaker Center for Science and Arts which offers concert performances, live theater, IMAX cinema, art exhibits and hands-on science-based exhibits at the Harsco Science Center.
The Hilton offers three dining options at the Market Square Café, Raspberries and The Golden Sheaf, or, you could head out to some of the neighbors on Restaurant Row.
Best of all, you’re just 15 minutes from Hershey Park, Chocolate World and The Hershey Story Museum.
- Breakfast for two adults
- Two adult one-day admission tickets to Hershey Park
- Two tickets to Whitaker Center
- Overnight self-parking for one vehicle
If you’re visiting in January, check out the State Farm Show, the largest in the country, at the nearby Pennsylvania Farm Show Complex and Expo Center.
