Dinosaur lovers, the Museum of Natural History newest exhibition features Mamenchisaurus, a super-sized 60 – foot long sauropod, one of the largest animals ever to walk the Earth.
Your kids will have the chance to examine life-sized bones, muscles and internal organs of these long neck wonders, in addition to learning how their colossal bodies functioned.
After our recent visit to view the butterfly exhibit and fan favorite, the Hayden planetarium, we can’t wait to put our paleontology hats on and excavate fossils in a replicated dig site. The interactive station at the end of the exhibition introduces visitors to how dinosaurs are discovered in the field.
The exhibit runs through January 2, 2012.
Location: American Museum of Natural History Central Park West @79the Street (212) 769-5100 Daily, 10AM – 5:45PM
