Got a kid with a passion for paleontology? If they dig dinosaurs, they’ll love this new show making its way through the U.S. Created in Australia, Erth’s Dinosaurs Zoo Live is bringing dinosaurs to life on stage, through life-sized puppets.

It’s both educational and entertaining for kids, with children in the first few rows often being called up on stage.DestinationReview

Here the kids are called up to interact with baby dinosaur puppets.

Guided by actors, the puppets trace the history of dinosaurs. It’s not the most entertaining for accompanying adults, but you’ll definitely get a kick out of seeing the looks on your kids faces as a giant T Rex or Stegosauras walks on stage!

Aw shucks, a sweet T Rex? Okay, so this production isn’t completely factually accurate, but it will have your kids wide-eyed and engaged with science.

We saw the production at Chicago’s Broadway Playhouse at Water Tower Place. Located right on the Magnificent Mile, the Windy City’s shopping mecca, the theatre was completely renovated in 2010. The theatre often presents family-friendly plays and musicals. It’s a great entertainment choice if you’re blowing through the Windy CIty with kids.
