Some people find it difficult to sleep when they travel, but the Disney Fantasy’s comfy beds helped me sleep through the night. It wasn’t just me that felt that way. During the Inaugural Cruise, a group of Traveling Mom writers who were onboard came to the consensus that the mattress and bedding had a great deal to do with getting a good night’s sleep.
My cabin was one of the very most forward on the ship. Being concerned about motion sickness due to the location of my cabin, I thought I’d be tossing and turning all night. Although there was a little motion, I slept as soon as I got into bed. One night, I even slept with the TV on.
Usually one to sleep on “my” side of the bed, even when I’m not with my husband, I woke up each morning to find the whole Queen Size bed used. I did move around, but it was because I felt so cozy. The four pillows were all slept on too. I wondered what my room steward thought about me when he saw the well-used, messy bed.
Since resting well is important to me because of the health issues I face, I was relieved to sleep like a contented baby each night. Quick naps were never a problem so I was well rested and ready to take on the activities, the shows and Castaway Cay.
Beds in staterooms on the Disney Fantasy are Sealy Posturepedic Premium Plush Euro-top mattresses. Sheets are Frette 100% Egyptian cotton linen, 300 count. During turn down service, your room steward will leave a towel animal, some chocolates and turn the red pillow around to show the saying, “A dream is a wish your heart makes, when you fall asleep…” And sleep I did.
