Located in the heart of downtown Montreal, Le Centre Sheraton Montreal Hotel is ideal for both business and pleasure travelers. With great customer service and modern amenities, it makes a great choice when traveling with family. To relax in comfortable beds while enjoying a panoramic view of the city was exactly what we were looking for after a day of exploring. The pool, dining and spa facilities also made it easy for us to entertain ourselves without having to venture out each time.
With over 800 rooms spread across 37 floors, Le Centre Sheraton Montreal Hotel is large hotel in a prime downtown location of Quebec, Canada. To the delight of our three year old, we could even spot the hotel tower among the Montréal skyline from the lookout point at Mount Royale, the largest park in the city.
With beautiful modern décor, Le Centre Sheraton offers a luxury feel as soon as you walk in to the lobby. You forget the hustle and bustle of the busy streets outside and start to relax once you enter the calming atmosphere of the hotel.
The hotel staff at the front desk, bell hop and concierge were eager to help us with any requests and concerns. They always greeted my son and infant daughter with a smile, making us feel welcome. We noticed how well- staffed the reception area was every time we passed by during our three day long stay.

Cost: $200-250 for a room with double queen sized beds when we visited in September 2015.
The location of the hotel in the center of downtown was very convenient for us to find during our drive in from Upstate New York. However, parking can get costly at about $20-25 per night for a self-parking spot. Our use of the car was limited as the hotel is within walking distance or well connected via public transportation to most points of interest.
If you’re flying in to Montréal, the taxi service to the hotel will be convenient but one of the costlier options, so make sure to check out
connections via train or shuttle bus.
We were only a block away from the trendy atmosphere of St. Catherine Street with restaurants and shopping. Two of the main attractions, Old Montréal area and Mount Royal Park, are about a 20 minute walk from the hotel.
The hotel’s commitment to sustainability was also noticeable with recycling bins located in rooms as well as public spaces. We also noticed a charging station for electric cars in the parking garage.
Our room on the 34th floor offered expansive views of the city including Mount Royale and Tower Observatory at the Olympic Park.
It was a double room with two queen sized beds and sufficient floor space for the crib as well. It can easily fit a family of four or five comfortably. The Sheraton Sweet Sleeper bed was very cozy and we had a very restful sleep.
The colorful art work, lounge chairs and large work desk helped to transform the room to more than a place for sleeping. My husband was able to catch up on work while I relaxed watching the kids play on the floor. The multiple jack port on the desk made it easier for us to charge all our electronics simultaneously.
Out of my three free “must haves” for a family friendly hotel – parking, breakfast and Wi-Fi – Le Centre Sheraton Montréal only checked one of the boxes. That is free high speed Wi-Fi access that easily streamed my three year old’s favorite shows.
If you were a Club Level member you were granted access to the Club Lounge at the top most (37th) floor. It was a beautiful open space with breathtaking views of the city. Guests were also treated to snacks and drinks all day long and complimentary breakfast and h’orderves in the evening. These types of perks definitely make it worthy to become a preferred guest by building up your points through Sheraton hotel stays.
The hotel pool was the perfect place to unwind with kids. The shallow end at three feet enabled my three year old to practice his strokes without the need for an adult holding him at all times. He loved that there was an assortment of inflatable toys at his disposal. The staff was very helpful with interacting with our son and providing us with plenty of towels.
The fitness center and spa was located across from the pool. I only got to peak in as I hadn’t planned on taking advantage of these facilities.
The Café Bar (for breakfast) and Bistro Le Boulevard (breakfast and lunch) are two in house restaurant options. The room service menu was also reasonably priced with a large choice of items under $15.
The open space of the Café Bar is ideal for enjoying a cup of coffee if you want to take a few minutes time to yourself. We chose to eat at the local eateries within a few minute walk from the hotel upon recommendations from the concierge.
