My favorite time of the year at Disneyland is the holidays; seeing the parks transform each and every year gives a whole new meaning to the word “magic”.  Halloween Time at Disneyland begins with Mickey’s Halloween Party offering plenty of festivities and fun for everyone!  This special ticketed event runs on select dates starting September 12th through Halloween; here is some of the spooktacular fun you can look forward to this year.

Enter Early – Mickey’s Halloween Party get the added value of entering Disneyland Park three hours before the party begins.  If you are traveling to Disneyland, pack these must have items for your visit.

Trick or Treat at Disneyland – Our kids LOVE this part of Mickey’s Halloween Party!  Trick or treat for healthy snacks and treats in the safety of Disneyland and be sure you have your camera on hand to capture the smiling faces.

with Disney villains in “Villains Square”.

Don’t forget to take in the always anticipated gingerbread house either! This year it appears a bit scarier yet strikes the perfect balance to reflect the magic of Halloween time and the Holiday season at Disneyland Park! Tim Wollweber, Graphic Designer/Sculptor, says the inspiration behind this year’s design comes from an iron maiden torture device from the Middle Ages.

The stunning creation can be viewed starting September 12th all the way through January 6th, 2015. At almost 7 feet tall and featuring over 200 pounds of gingerbread, 200 pounds of royal icing, and abundant sticky treats, it is not to be missed.

Tickets for Mickey’s Halloween Party are now on sale for 14 select nights running through October 31st; I recommend purchasing them in advance so you can attend on the night that works best for your family. Be sure to enjoy the yummy Halloween treats throughout the park, too!
