Disneyland’s Diamond Celebration is underway and as part of the celebration there is a new World of Color show for the whole family. We went to see the new show and were amazed at the new features Disney has added into what was already an awesome experience. The new show is called “World of Color-Celebrate! The Wonderful World of Walt Disney” and it celebrates everything Walt, everything Disney, and makes us all fall in love with Disney all over again.

One of the many reasons I love bringing the kids to the Disneyland resort is the underlying morale of a visit; dream big and never give up. The new World of Color show is all about the dreams that Walt Disney had that helped create what we now know as an iconic place.

The show is hosted by a creation of Walt’s imagination, Mickey Mouse. Mickey takes the entire family on a trip through the inspiring journey that Walt has taken using his imagination along with some help from Neil Patrick-Harris. The kids loved seeing the journey because it’s focus is the animated moments that built the Disney legacy into what it is today.

The best part is, the entire story is told through animation and live action clips displayed using water, colors, laser and effects that dance through the night to tingling music.  We could literally hear the “oohs” and “aahs” from everyone around us and I loved hearing children shout out all of their beloved Disney movie names as they came to life on the wall of water.

We felt like the World of Color show was a “goodnight kiss” but the day was filled with so much more.

Disney is celebrating their 60th anniversary in true Disney fashion with diamonds everywhere. The kids loved seeing the iconic Carthay Circle Theatre dressed in diamonds. Now there’s a beautiful “Diamond D” marquee.

Your family will love finding all of the diamonds throughout California Adventure Park during Disneyland’s Diamond Celebration; the food options alone will thrill them.

Disneyland’s Diamond Celebration will not last forever so be sure you plan your visit to Disneyland to experience all there is during this special time.
