Super exciting news for families visiting Toronto this summer!
Ontario Place is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year by offering FREE admission for their entire season! Guests will still have to pay for special ticketed events at the Cinesphere, concerts at the Molson Amphitheatre, rides and food, but entrance to the venue is completely free.
Vanessa Somarriba the spokesperson for Ontario Place spoke to Toronto Star a couple of weeks ago and said there will be many new updates coming to the venue. She said:
“Cinesphere is getting a complete makeover – a3D screen and projection, new seats, new floors and concession stand and a cleaning of the outside for the first time in 40 years with new LED light bulbs added.”
In addition, the Soak City water-park will be expanding in July! Additions such as a new tube ride, beach, lounge pool and stage offering live entertainment are sure to provide a ton of fun for families. Talk about awesome!
The last time Ontario Place offered free admission all season long was in celebration of their 20th anniversary back in 1991. Additional major face lifts are planned and park officials will be revealing those plans later this summer.
