Spring break is about to break wide open across the United Arab Emirates thanks to schools being on the same calendar, and that means lots of eager families ready to explore their nearby surroundings! Whether you’re dreaming of jet setting to a new exotic location or happy staying in the UAE, I’m sure there are plenty of affordable options for you and your family to enjoy. Based on our recent travels, here are three recommendations I can stand behind and share with you.
1. Stay in the UAE!
There are so many things to do and see across the UAE. The list goes on and on, more so than I ever thought. Even after two and a half years, we still haven’t done some of the most notable activities! Don’t be depressed listening to your friends plans for their exotic adventures in other lands. Take advantage of the UAE. The weather is perfect this time of year for swimming, staying out late under the stars and enjoying some of the outdoor amusement areas! Pick a couple places and enjoy a few days exploring your own backyard.
* Al Ain Zoo | * Wadi Adventure | * Ski Dubai | * a trip to Fujairah | * Grand Mosque in Abu Dhabi | * Desert Safari | * Hatta Pools and Hatta Fort Hotel | *Dibba to Musandam dhow trip
Thailand is an incredible country with so much to offer any type of family. Whether you’re seeking adventure or relaxation, you’ll find it all here…and affordably! While any adventure in Thailand is sure to please, there are some top family friendly locations worth looking into for your stay. Choose one or two places and soak in everything this majestic country has to offer.
* Chiang Mai | * Hua Hin | * Phuket (Surin Beach, Karon Beach, DinoPark Mini Golf, FantaSea | * Railay | * Koh Samui | * Bangkok (Chatuchak Market, Grand Palace, Siam Paragon)
3. Sri Lanka
A country forever held close to our hearts and just a hop, skip and a jump away…Sri Lanka is a must see. The overwhelming generosity of the people here was just inspiring, and left us wanting to return in the near future. Simple, natural and giving are words I’d use to describe this hidden beauty. In one trip you can enjoy the scenic areas of:
* Hikkaduwa, Galle, Mirissa and Unawatuna | * Kandy *Nurwara Eliya.
I simply can’t say enough about how family friendly this country is. From family passes to museums to finding a family park around the corner, every town we visited in Germany screamed family friendly. Every day, we threw our itineraries out the window and just started walking. We would find one hidden gem after another, all suited for kids and families. Our favorite spots were:
* Munich | * Dresden | *Berlin | *Cologe
The world is so big and full of opportunity. Pick a place and go. It’s a amazing how visiting a new culture can bring your family closer together on your trip. Enjoy!
