Chevy Malibu RoadtripThe 2013 Chevy Malibu has stylish good looks, plenty of storage, optimal handling and gets decent gas mileage. But that’s only the beginning of a long list of features to appreciate when setting out on a road trip in this midsize sedan.

Thanks to Chevrolet, I was able to drive the Malibu from my home in Ohio all the way to Orlando for the TravelingMom Retreat at Disney’s Yacht Club Resort. It was a great road trip that allowed me plenty of time to become familiar with the various features of the Chevy Malibu.

There are several reasons why I think this vehicle is great for road trips.

1) Storage

At first glance, I was doubtful that the Malibu’s trunk would hold everything that needed to accompany me on the trip. After all, I wasn’t making this trip solo. I was traveling with a friend and not one, but TWO teenage girls. Need I say more?

2) Comfort

A great road trip vehicle must be comfortable, if it’s not, well then let’s just say the trip could be memorable, but not for the reason you hoped. The Chevy Malibu boasted front bucket seats with power seat adjusters with lumbar support and plenty of legroom, in both the front and backseats.

3) Plug ins

I’m a blogger and my teens love technology. I need (or think I need) to be connected via my phone at all times and that doesn’t happen with a dead cell phone battery. Not only did the Malibu have USB ports, the backseat also had a 12 volt plug in! We were able to take turns to charge all of our electronic devices.

4) Entertainment

A good road trip must have entertainment and the Chevy Malibu provided it in the form of Chevy MyLink and OnStar. With Bluetooth technology we could listen to satellite or XM radio or sync our phones so we could listen to playlists we’d created specifically for the road trip.

One of my favorite features was the hands-free calling which allowed us to safely make and receive calls on the road- a fun feature my teenage passengers also loved!

You can see some of the highlights from our road trip in the Chevy Malibu in this short video.

The Chevy Malibu may have been a fun car to drive, but that’s not the only reason I’m singing it’s praises. I’m convinced that I’m a better driver with the help from the Chevrolet Malibu and you can read all about that at SheBuysCars.com.
