The leaves are falling. There is a crisp edge to the air. Autumn has arrived in all her glory and has settled into the city that doesn’t sleep. Really, there is nothing quite like autumn in New York. This city is suited to the season of harvest like few others. Sadly, not all inhabitants of the Big Apple get to enjoy the fruits of the harvest, many New Yorkers -and their families- struggle with hunger.
That is where City Harvest comes in;
- Each week City Harvest helps feed more than 300,000 hungry men, women and children.
- This year City Harvest will distribute more than 30 million pounds of food.
- Many food bank clients say their children have to skip meals because there is not enough money for food.
Ripley’s Believe It or Not! New York, is once again teaming up with City Harvest and bringing back thier Gimme Five Food Drive campaign to combat hunger, not just in New York city, but in all of these cities that have Believe It or Not! Odditoriums;
