The Royal

The Royal Tower is the iconic pink hotel you picture when you think of Atlantis. The opulent architecture reflects the myth of the lost city of Atlantis, complete with The Dig—a free “underground” journey that winds through the tunnels of the mythical Atlantis.

Step outside and you will discover the world’s largest open-air marine habitat and snorkeling at Ruins Lagoon, home to more than 20,000 deep reef and pelagic fish.

The newly renovated rooms and suites have floor-to-ceiling windows with views of the lush Atlantis landscape, Nassau Harbor or azure blue ocean.

For families, the Royal is not far from the best waterslides, river rides and activities at the Aquaventure waterpark. It’s also close to Dolphin Cay, home to dolphins rescued after Hurricane Katrina.

For adults, The Royal is within easy walking distance of the Mandara Spa, fitness center, famed Chef Nobu Matsuhisa‘s Nobu restaurant and the Atlantis Casino.

While you dine and gamble, send the kids to the Atlantis Kids Adventures (AKA), which offers fun programming for guests ages 3 to 12. The signature suite at Atlantis is the 4,740-square-foot Bridge Suite. It’s the balcony connecting two of the Royal Towers that you’ve seen in every Atlantis photo. It has a full kitchen, living room with a bar and piano and an ultra-plush master bedroom. It rents for $25,000 per night.

The Coral

The Coral, which was renovated in 2017, offers spacious rooms and suites – all with full balconies. The comfortable lobby lounge boasts Sun & Ice, a local Bahamian ice cream place where families can gather in the evening.

You’ll be close to the beach and the walk-through tunnel to see the sharks swimming around the Predator Lagoon, making it a good spot for beach lovers and families. In addition, The Coral pool has a swim-up bar and several private cabanas for parties looking for some shade.

Dining at The Coral includes Chop Stix Chinese food and the Lagoon Bar & Grill, which serves sandwiches and other casual fare. Plus, the Atlantis Theatre in the nearby convention center rotunda shows Hollywood blockbuster movies, free to all guests of the resort.

The vibe at The Coral is beachy casual. Marina Village, located next door, offers more options for restaurants and shops. Some rooms have views over the marina.

Tweens and teens will have easy access to CRUSH, the kids’ club for older kids and families (there are specific hours for each age group) and parents will be glad their teens won’t have far to walk back to the room when CRUSH closes at 12:30am.

The Reef

This upscale Atlantis Bahamas hotel was renovated in 2019. It offers big studios and family-friendly one-, two- and three-bedroom units with multiple bathrooms, fully equipped kitchens or kitchenettes (there’s a shop in the lobby for provisions) and washers and dryers in-room or nearby. Even better, the rooms offer floor-to-ceiling ocean views.

The Reef offers easy access to the beach, but it’s fairly far from the other resort attractions. Plan time in your schedule to walk or wait for the free resort shuttle that operates throughout the day.

There’s also a large family pool that is exclusive for the use of guests staying at The Reef and The Cove.

The Cove

Harborside Resort
