While there are only two true all-inclusive resorts in Florida — one for families and one for adults only — you’ll find several luxury resorts that offer vacation packages with added benefits or discounts. At these Florida resorts, inclusive may mean meal plans or amenities that can be purchased as add-on options to hotel costs. And this list of Florida all-inclusives includes several that offer “Good Neighbor” deals to residents of Florida and Georgia.

All-inclusive resorts are among my family’s favorite kinds of vacations. We love that accommodations, meals, most activities and entertainment are all included in one flat rate. The kids love that there are so many things to do. Now that my kids are older, we all love that we can do things together or separately, and then catch up at meal times.

While there are only two full all-inclusive resorts in Florida, there are a number of Florida resorts that offer add-on options.

Sandpiper Bay All-Inclusive, Trademark Collection by Wyndham, the Only Family-Friendly All Inclusive in St. Lucie River

This resort was formerly the Club Med Sandpiper Bay and it was one of my family’s favorite spots. In 2022, the resort was sold to Wyndham and renamed Sandpiper Bay All Inclusive, Trademark Collection by Wyndham.

It has a new name, but the resort on the banks of the St. Lucie River is still the only Florida all-inclusive resort for families. It offers accommodations, entertainment, dining and an incredible array of kid-friendly activities all included at one flat rate. Excursions and spa treatments are available for an extra fee.

The junior family suites have a king bed and a set of bunk beds separated by a curtain. Or you get a room with a king bed and one or two day beds. All meals, snacks and drinks are included.

Activities Included at Sandpiper Bay Resort

Top on most family’s vacation agendas: The pool. Sandpiper Bay has two, a family pool that is open daily and an adults-only pool that is open on the weekend.

Water sports include sailing, kayaking, and paddleboarding. Jet skis, hoverboards, tubes, wakeboards and water excursions such as a sunset cruise or eco tour are available for an additional cost. Land sports include tennis, pickleball, basketball, soccer, bocce ball, mini golf and ping pong. There are sports pros onsite to give lessons in tennis, golf, volleyball, soccer, and swimming at an additional fee. Zumba and other fitness programs also are included, although spa services are an additional charge.

A kid’s club for babies as young as 4 months with special programming for toddlers and school-age kids and a club for tweens and teens (ages 11-17) is included. Nightly pajama parties for kids ages 4 months to 10 are available at an extra fee.

Dining at Sandpiper Bay

Three meals a day are available in The Marketplace buffet restaurant with snacks and other treats available throughout the day at the Slice Bar and Slice Terrace. A pool bar opens at the adults-only pool on the weekends.

Key Lime Sailing Club & Cottages, Key Largo

This a good choice for big families. The resort promises an Old Florida Keys experience in a small, secluded resort featuring unique cottages. Large families can connect 3 cottages together to sleep about 15 people.

Included in the room price are unlimited use of a private sailboat, snorkeling gear, bicycles, kayaks, canoes, paddleboards, and fishing gear. In addition, there’s complimentary WiFi, and BBQ grills.

SheBuysTravel Tip: Key Largo is a great stop on a Miami-Key West Florida road trip. Bring your snorkel gear to explore America’s first undersea park—John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park in Key Largo. If you’d rather stay dry, take a glass-bottom boat tour to get a peek beneath the surface.

Fort Lauderdale Marriott Harbor Beach Resort & Spa

Situated on a private beach, the Fort Lauderdale Marriott Harbor Beach Resort & Spa promises a relaxing getaway. The luxury resort has a calm beach, large heated pools, a spa, fitness center, year-round children’s program, and three restaurants.

But it’s the beach and array of water sports that completes a family vacation. For a reasonable fee, you can rent wave runners, kayaks, paddleboards, and Hobie cat sailboats. Also, sign up for para-sailing, snorkeling trips and banana boats.

The ocean is as flat as a lake in the mornings, so that’s when I felt most comfortable paddling a kayak through water so clear I could see reefs just beneath the surface.

Lounge chairs and umbrellas are included in the resort fee. Beverage service is available (but not included) on the beach from the comfort of your chair.
