Everyone who has flown has had the same thoughts when waiting for their luggage – “All he bags look the same, I probably should have done something to make mine more identifiable.” Well now there is no excuse for why you’re having problems finding your bag – unless the airlines misplaces it of course which is a whole other matter – because here are 6 ways to help you identify your luggage!
Tell me something. Do you own a set of black luggage? I would have raised my hand to that question a few months ago, but since then have changed things up. I got sick and tired of playing the guessing game at the carousel – especially when I traveled alone. For some reason, my husband has the ability to spot our bags a mile away. Me? Not so much.
To combat this problem – I ordered… wait for it… purple luggage. Now – don’t judge me. I LOVE my purple luggage. Is it the most fashionable piece at the airport? Maybe not. But you better believe I no longer get anxiety once that bell goes off.
I thought about buying a set from Louis Vuitton but my husband said he would divorce me if I did. I also thought about getting a set of red luggage which is a much safer color choice than purple. However, that seems to be what most travelers are doing these days. Have you noticed?!
If you don’t want to upgrade (or should I say downgrade) to an embarrassing color like me there are 5 more options I wanted to share to ensure that you will always be able to identify your luggage at the baggage claim.

No I’m not kidding . I see this ALL THE TIME and I find is a little bizarre. But I guess it’s a really cheap and effective way of keeping your luggage protected from outside liquids. And the bonus is it is very easy to spot!
This is a cheap but personalized way for a traveler to mark his/her luggage. The only downside is these may not last as long as some of the other options on the list.
