What comes to mind when you think about flying? Maybe thoughts of crowded, hectic airports and horrible in-flight food. But what about at your fantasy airport? What would be offered during your fantasy flight? We asked these questions and more at our June 13 Monday Night Twitter Party.
WHAT WAS YOUR MOST SURREAL AIRLINE EXPERIENCE?
@travelingmoms: The time the stewardess burned captain's dinner in microwave & I had panic attack plane was on fire.
@CindyRichards: Being stuck at JFK for 11 hours on standby after my 6:30am flight was canceled. I was about to give up when I snagged a seat.
@MissVersatile: Drunk guy next to me threw up on my shoes, toddler threw up from smell
WHAT'S OFFERED AT YOUR FANTASY AIRPORT?
@1Dad1Kid: Free open bar for adults & great play area for kids
@techmama: Childcare & massage
@walkingontravel: Just want priority boarding again w/ ALL airlines. Helps everyone if get my kid on board & settled
@chaotic_barb: I am going to go with ADULT LOUNGE. No offense but when traveling without my kids I don't want to listen to others
@travelingmoms: Food, drinks, big screen tv, loungers
WHAT'S INCLUDED ON YOUR FANTASY FAMILY FLIGHT?
@YoungMommy: My fantasy flight would include cabins, so our whole family could sit close together
@DebMomof3: More leg room/bigger seats, entertainment system for everybody - & food! Flights last wknd didn't even offer peanuts...
@travelingmoms: Reasonably priced food and drinks
HOW MUCH WOULD U PAY FOR AN IN-FLIGHT DINNER & WHAT WOULD IT BE?
@BabyBox: $10 per person & Organic, Nutritious, Fresh
@CarissaRogers: I'm cheap. I'd pay less than $10. And expect a decent Thai Chicken Wrap, with a yummy treat.
@CindyRichards: Nothing. Airline food is never good enough to be worth $$. I bring my own. But then I'm cheap.
WHAT KIND OF FAMILY IN-FLIGHT ENTERTAINMENT DO YOU WANT?
@martiferg: We always bring our DVD player w/ dvd's the kids haven't seen before
@travelingmoms: Wouldn't it be fun if someone walked around making balloon animals?!
@chaotic_barb: Didn't we cover this already with Ambien and XBOX?
WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO MAKE YOUR FLYING EXPERIENCE BETTER?
@martiferg: Download apps to my hubby's iPhone
@annedoggett: I pack my socks and other small items in ziploc bags and then reuse on the trip
@travelwbella: Establish a team mantra for the family. A cheesy handshake, high 5, songs to sing, etc. Keeps the kids in teamwork mode.
