NYCDozen Cupcakes. The word alone sends a warm fuzzy feeling through my taste buds. From kid birthday parties to wedding receptions, this little treat is something that can be enjoyed by the masses. It’s no surprise that bakeries all around Manhattan are specializing in this baked goods and thank goodness for that!

Here are 4 NYC cupcake nirvanas you cannot miss:

Are you a Sex and the City fan? While taking an ‘On Location’ tour, I was introduced to Magnolia Bakery. Since then, the brand has opened up 5 additional locations in Manhattan (as well as in LA, Chicago, and Dubai). One bite of their sugar cream frosting and you will be hooked for life.

Marbled counters, a wall filled with treats and a bake shop to call home. Crumbs has something for everyone including the Colossal Cupcakes which is about 6.5 inches tall. Yum and Yum! I do have to give a little shout out to their black and white cookie because it’s my husband’s absolute FAVORITE.

The newest kid on the block is Georgetown Cupcake. Sound familiar? It should because co-founders Sophie LaMontagne and Katherine Kallinis are also the stars of TLC’s DC Cupcakes. Their third location proudly sits in NYC’s SoHo neighborhood on 111 Mercer Street (between Prince and Spring).

You will find 18 different flavors of cupcakes a day with rotating monthly menus. If you are in NYC on February 11th, head on down at 12PM and snag yourself a FREE cupcake (while supplies last).

Perhaps you can’t make it to any of these locations and instead want to take your chance with The Cupcake Stop. This truck was the first of its kind and has a Twitter account that you can follow and interact with. The Cupcake Stop recently won the title on the Food Network’s “Food Feuds – Best Cupcake”. What an accomplishment!

So, after you have that great slice of pizza be sure to seek out one of the above sweet treats! Where are you favorite places to eat in NYC?
