When packing your family for a cruise bring a carry-on that you will walk onto the ship and then a suitcase that will be surrendered to the porters upon check-in at the pier. In your carry-on make sure to bring travel documents, medications, extra clothes for the children, sunscreen, and valuables. In additon to your clothes, below is a list of items that you might want to bring.

Small lighted travel clock with alarm

Walkie-talkies

Plastic raft for beach
Zip lock bags (both quart and gallon)
Small umbrella
Snorkeling gear
Binoculars
Travel pillow
Power strip

Bonine/dramamine or ginger (for motion sickness)
Anti-itch cream
Anti-bacterial hand cleaner
Anti-bacterial wipes
Ear plugs
Sunscreen
