Myrtle Beach, South Carolina is celebrating National Military Appreciation Month with various events through out May. There are concerts, parades, ceremonies, and exhibits. Many of the hotels are offering a military discount.

May 20: 208th US Army Reserve Band at 7 p.m.

5K Run/Walk – 8:00 a.m., Sunday, May 29, Grand Park (Wheelchairs start at 7:55 a.m.) Enjoy this morning run/walk around The Market Common and Grand Park, beginning at Crabtree Memorial Gym. It's free for active duty, reserves and veterans, or $20 for civilians.
