Atlantic City, New Jersey is not really part of the
Jersey Shore. It is more a
year-round destination, and then there are the casinos. But it also offers families free kid-friendly entertainment.
The Beaches Unlike many places on the
Jersey Shore,
Atlantic City’s wide beaches are free, with no beach badges required. There are 3 surfing beaches, plus a beach where you can bring your own kayak.
Walk the PlanksStroll the historic
Atlantic City Boardwalk. If you bring your own bikes, you can ride them from 6-10am.
3D Light Show on Boardwalk Hall – The façade of Historic Boardwalk Hall is transformed every evening into a free
3D spectacle. Using sophisticated 3D projections and an original musical score the exterior of Boardwalk Hall takes on a life of its own. There are 3 different shows, so you can return another night.
Movies Under the Stars Three nights a week in summer there are family friendly G or PG movies shown on the beach.
