Mile High Date Nights
Suzanne prefers a more laid back approach with her favorite being: “Denver Zoo and then hot dogs at Steve’s Snappin’ Dogs on Colfax.”
Rajean has a whole list of ideas: “Concert at Red Rocks. Drive through and a manageable hike through Garden of the Gods, be sure to take your camera. Motorcycle ride from Morrison up into Evergreen, walk through both towns. Take the lightrail into the city, walk around like tourists, take in a Rockies game in season, have lunch or dinner on the patio at Wynkoop, Rock Bottom or somewhere on Larimer Square. there is so much to do here for dates with your love or your family.”
Jen says: “Any date night is a good one in our house! My fave recently was a day hanging out at the RV show, just checking out what is there and pretending we have time and money to travel the road. Then went to Root Down (in the Highlands) for dinner – yum!”
Chrissy loves (I do too!) Vines Wine Bar in Downtown Parker Colorado. Amber is lucky enough to have a husband that plans amazing dates including scavenger hunts, massages, and a bed and breakfast (lucky girl!). Laura has a ton of laughs with her guy at Comedy Works. Chris (Standby Traveling Mom) got to experience the ulitmate Romantic Valentine’s Getaway Package at the Warwick Denver. And Connie, well, let’s just say you have to watch this date night to understand. My personal favorite? That would have to be The Brown Palace.
If you are lucky enough to get the chance to break free from the city and head up into the Rocky Mountains, Jenny says she “totally LOVED this-A Dessertcation in Vail Cascade” and Lori, well, let’s just say her latest post about the Ritz-Carlton in Bachelor Gulch sounds like the ultimate date to me!
What can I say? It’s good to have friends. It’s even better to have friends that are so in the know about the Denver dating scene. Well, you know the dating scene that requires hiring a babysitter to enjoy!
Get out there and have fun! If I missed YOUR favorite spot, tell me about it in the comments!
