Boise is the City of Trees. I’ve lived here for two years now, having moved from Los Angeles, where I grew up. While I miss the diversity of food, I definitely do not miss the traffic. Despite its size, there is so much to do in Boise, especially with your children.

Located 40 minutes due east of Spokane International Airport, Coeur d’Alene is one giant outdoor playground, with several free attraction to make it an affordable family vacation destination. It is best known for the world famous Coeur d’Alene Golf Resort’s floating green, the northwest’s largest theme park (Silverwood Theme Park) and Boulder Beach Water Park.
Accessible via Friedman Memorial Airport in Hailey, the Sun Valley/Ketchum region is located in Idaho’s Northern Rocky Mountains. Few residents live in Sun Valley year round, however the area attracts thousands of visitors per year, particularly those interested in skiing, hiking, and trail riding and these free things to do will help make a visit there an affordable family vacation.
