I want you to meet the West family. They have such a vision for a complete vacation experience. They own the West Inn and Suites in Carlsbad, California , a gorgeous boutique property that not only offers spacious luxurious rooms but also a huge gathering room where you can have a quick board game on your way to the pool.
Next door is Bistro West , run by Chef Eugenio Martignago. The Italian food is incredible and, best of all, fresh! They manage their own organic farm where they grow vegetables and herbs and where eventually, they will serve dinner.For us, no family vacation would be complete without golf. The West family thought of that too and bought the Rancho Carlsbad golf course. They have done a first renovation on the greens and have plans to add a clubhouse and more. They welcome families and make it easy for kids to play. They had clubs ready for my daughter (they even matched her outfit) and they were happy to offer playing tips. Golf pro and course director, Mark Umphreyville, is passionate about getting more kids to play golf and it shows.
