As a SoCal native, I’ve grown up with Disneyland and love experiencing it with my three kids. We watched with anticipation as California Adventure was being built and it’s been fun watching this second Orange County Disney park blossom. Now several more new attractions are debuting in June at the Disneyland Resort.

California Adventure

With the premiere of The Little Mermaid – Ariel’s Undersea Adventure, California Adventure now has its first “dark ride.” Here, you sit in colorful clam shells as Ariel’s adventures unfold featuring Audio-Animatronics characters and music from the movie, “The Little Mermaid.”

Also new is Goofy’s Sky School, a roller coaster at Paradise Pier. The theme is a flying academy with Goofy as the instructor.

Disney Junior – Live in Stage features Jake and the Never Land Pirates. Kids and parents can sing and dance along in this show presented several times daily.

Chow down at new restaurants Paradise Garden Grill and Boardwalk Pasta and Pizza at Paradise Pier, a recreation of a vintage beachside boardwalk.

Disneyland

Star Tours – The Adventure Continues opens in a brand new spaceport in Tomorrowland. The 3D adventure features more than 50 different story combinations featuring characters from the “Star Wars” movies.

There are changes to the Disneyland Hotel as well. The rooms sport a new décor and there’s a new pool/slide water play area.
