When planning family travel with kids to San Antonio, the Natural Bridge Caverns and neighboring Wildlife Ranch are worth putting on your agenda.

The Wildlife Ranch & Safari is a drive-through. It’s fun to just sit there with kids creeping through with stops to look at or feed the animals. There are dangers though. Do NOT under any circumstance put your hands out to feed them – throw it on the ground. I am speaking from personal experience here. There is also a small petting area by the parking lot. Fun way to spend a couple hours for all ages.
 
Right next to the ranch are the Natural Bridge Caverns, the deepest in Texas they say. How deep you go depends on which tour you take. We took along our two 6-year-olds and did the simplest tour. They enjoyed it and the walk was relatively easy. There are some very impressive areas in the caverns.

Warning here too: Do NOT bring children under, I would say, 4 years old. You are not allowed to touch anything (an actual felony we were told). Also, there are some areas that would make it hard as well for anyone with a physical challenge that affects walking or climbing.
