Shop and Stay – A New Holiday Tradition

Making Christmas shopping fun and relaxing, really.
hyattCan Christmas shopping be fun and even relaxing?   My answer is yes!  You might be wondering how this is possible.  The biggest Christmas shopping stresses are traffic, parking, finding the right gifts and fitting it all in to your busy schedule, right?  Exhausting.  My best friend and I had the opportunity to try the "Shop and Stay" package at the Hyatt Regency Bellevue, and believe we have found the key to making Christmas shopping a great experience.

We enjoyed it so much so that we decided it should be our new holiday tradition.  The "Shop and Stay" package includes deluxe guestroom accommodations, a $50 certificate to The Bellevue Collection (good at 250 stores, 45 restaurants and several spas), late check-out of 2pm, and complimentary self-parking for $149.  Great deal, beautiful accommodations, fantastic location.

The Hyatt Regency Bellevue is located just steps away from some of the best shopping, restaurants and spas in the Pacific Northwest.  With Bellevue Square, Lincoln Square, and The Bravern so close by, you’re sure to find just about any gift you’re looking for - and probably a few extra things for yourself.  Then relax with a spa treatment and fantastic dinner out, or order room service and watch one of those movies that you missed because you always get out-voted by your family.  A full night of sleep in a luxurious bed that you don't have to make in the morning is priceless.  Wake up refreshed, finish up a little more Christmas shopping, enjoy a late lunch and you will find yourself rested, relaxed and ready for the holidays.  No hustle, no bustle, no looking for parking.

Yep, we're definitely making this an annual tradition.

Tips:

  • Ask the Hyatt Regency Bellevue concierge to make your dinner and spa reservations.   They have great inside information on the hottest spots, some discounts and, my favorite, an interior key if you want to access some locations in Lincoln Square (like Trulia Spa) without stepping outside.
  • Bellevue has lots of great events planned for the holiday season, you could use this package with your family.  Children under 18 stay free, up to 4 people per room.  Hyatt Regency Bellevue also offers a family plan, which provides a second room for 50% off (occupants must be under 18), or upgrade to a studio suite.   Enjoy all of the great family events Bellevue has to offer over the holidays like their skating rink, Snowflake Lane, and Santa pictures at a more relaxing pace.
  • This package would also be great for a romantic getaway, perfect for a little rest, relaxation, and time together.

I LOVE this idea! One more tip: bring or buy wrapping paper and wrap your gifts there, so you don't have to hide them from the kids in your luggage when you go home.
