The Lodge at Woodloch in Hawley, Pennsylvania, is a destination spa that's built to co-exist in its natural surroundings.  I just now realized that, while I took the trees and  nature for granted, the environment was having a profound impact on my overall experience.  So just being there is enough to unwind. 

You see trees from every room and glimpses of the private lake from most of the second floor. The light fixtures and accents around the Lodge are in the shape of branches and leaves.

When you enter the Lodge, the foyer begins the journey to serenity. You are greeted not only by Lodge staff but also by the chakra bowls – made of crystal that invoke balance and equanimity with vibration and sound. Participating sets the tone for the whole experience and gives you a sense of the philosophy that the owners, Ginny and John Lopis, impart.

Ginny and John used their 25 years of spa consulting experience to create this destination spa experience, which opened in 2006. They walk the walk – literally walking around the Lodge greeting guests and accommodating their requests. They have tended to every detail.
