The Best Free Show on Broadway - Ellen’s Stardust Diner

Luxury TravelingMom
Ellen's Stardust Diner is the Best Free Show on Broadway.
ellenmainThe Broadway stars of tomorrow can be found slinging burgers and singing at the 50’s themed diner in mid-town Manhattan near Times Square. Ellen’s Stardust Diner is home of the world famous singing wait staff and as been described as the "Best Free Show on Broadway".

They serve up your standard diner fare for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The food is good, but that’s not what you come for. It’s the floorshow that makes it a New York City "must do".

ellenguyThe talent and the wait staff are one in the same. They rotate performances so that someone is always "on". Songs are only about 3 minutes each so it’s unlikely that your food server’s rendition of "Defying Gravity" will keep them from getting your burger to you while it’s still hot.

This is no karaoke hour; these singers/waiters are the real deal. They sing a variety of pop music; show tunes and oldies but goodies. Ellen’s has a rich history of their staff leaving their aprons behind and starring in the stage productions just down the street on Broadway.

They don’t take reservations unless you’re planning a party. You can find them at the corner of 51st and Broadway.
