I've stayed at the Palace. Rested my head at W. Snoozed at the Marriott Marquis. But I never had a chance to swim at any of these hotels in New York City. Why? Because they don't have pools.
This shouldn't be a big deal; except I usually make it a big deal to stay in hotels with pools to swim in. And although New York City is close enough for me to reach by car or train for a day, when I spend the night I would like to swim off the stress of walking countless blocks and regain some sanity by floating in chlorinated bliss.
After careful research, I've found there are few hotels in the city that offer a room with a pool. However, I did find several that offer the chance to do a lap or two while visiting the city (although if I ever won an Olympic gold inthe freestyle, I might need to cash it in to pay my way.)
Here are the hotels I would visit if I were to swim my way through Manhattan:
1. The Millenium Hilton
2. The Greenwich Hotel
3. The Mandarin Oriental
4. The Trump International Hotel and Towers
