My family and I have visited many rescue centers all over Central America, but none were as well done and sustained as Macaw Mountain in Copan, Honduras! It's a reason it's called a mountain, the Bird rescue center, that houses much more than Macaws, such as owls, parrots and other birds, takes up an entire mountain with streams crossing through it.
The best part of it all, your kids can have a hands-on experience by holding a Macaw or Toucan.
