With St. Patrick's Day just days away, I thought it might finally be time to share some tips for family travel to Ireland. I took a six day trip to the Emerald Isle with my mother and two of my children, Payne and Daly, my oldest and youngest. This was a couple of years ago and the memories are still vivid.
Princess, castles, and an elaborate rescue by a knight in shining armor might sound like a childhood dream, but in western Ireland just 19 miles from Galway, fairy tales still come true. When it came time to introduce our children to international family travel, we set our sights on Montreal for two reasons. First, my husband was going there on business anyway. Our visit was the perfect combination of fun and cultural immersion. No matter what your child's interest, there's an attraction they will find très magnifique!
