Walt Disney World Halloween

disneyhalloweenVisitors to Walt Disney World in the month of October have a special opportunity - the chance to attend Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween party, held select evenings at the Magic Kingdom.  Because Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party is considered a special event, and requires a separate ticket, travelers may wonder if it's worth it.

My husband and I visited Walt Disney World last month, and had the chance to visit the event with the other moms panelists (Disney provided us with the tickets).  I had never been, and absolutely LOVED the event.  There's a separate parade, called "Boo to You" that not only includes traditional characters wearing costumes (I love the irony of a costume on a costume), but also includes all of the Disney villains, and characters from the popular Haunted Mansion attraction.  The parade shows twice during the night.  In addition, there's a special version of Wishes (the fireworks show), called HalloWishes.

Although the party is scheduled from 7pm-12am, party ticket holders are able to enter the park at 4pm.  All of the attractions are open during the party, and lines are generally shorter than they usually are.  There's also lots of trick or treating available throughout the park, and the decorations are so fun.
