camping on the beach in a tentReady to get back to nature with a family camping trip, or just go ”glamping” by camping in a cabin? KOA recently announced its ninth annual KOA Come Camp & Care With Us Weekend in which guests receive a free night on Saturday, May 12 after paying for the previous night's stay at a participating KOA in the U.S. or Canada.

KOA Care Camps is a group of 43 specialized summer camps located throughout North America that provide a true summer camp experience for children with cancer and their siblings. Each year, Kampgrounds of America and its local KOA owners raise funds through camper donations to support these very special camps and deserving children.

During Come Camp & Care With Us Weekend May, participating KOAs offer campers the ability to donate to KOA Care Camps through several special events and activities. Alternately, guests can drop off donations at one of the collection stations in the KOA Camp Stores.

This sounds so awesome. Wish I were in the States to take advantage - really want to take my kids camping, but have never got around to it yet.
