zillipic2Looking for something to do this weekend? Something to entertain the kids while you enjoy some fabulous food? Well, Dubai is the place to be!  You're officially invited to the Taste of Dubai 2012 from March 15-17.
It's no secret that I LOVE to cook and bake, so this is like a little piece of heaven for me! This year, 25 AMAZING restaurants will be dishing up their favorite aromatic dishes to share with all of you. You can do everything from taking cooking classes with some fabulous chefs to beverage tasting to taking in the sounds of live entertainment...oh, and don't forget...eating!

Some of the big name chefs appearing at this year's festival include Aldo Zilli, Gary Rhodes and Vineet Bhatia. Also attending will be Atul Kochhar and Food Network’s Aarti Sequeira. What more could you ask for as a food aficionado than to be up close and personal with the people who inspire you to cook and create masterpieces of your own! And if you're not fond of the kitchen, but you LOVE eating, you're sure to be pleased with what they'll whip up for you.

Taste Dubai 2*Updated News! Head chef at Gordon Ramsay’s Verre, Scott Price, has just announced that he will showcase his restaurant Table 9 by Nick and Scott at the show this year.

There are lots of little events happening within the Taste. The PhilipsChef's Theater will teach you the ins and outs of being a fantastic chef, giving you tips and ideas on how to take your cooking to the next level. Miele Cookery School will fulfill the dreams of wannabe chefs, as they take the stage and create delicious dishes. This is first come first serve opportunity open to the public. In the MMI Beverage Theater, put your beverage skills to the test with taste testing, classes, food pairings and more. Learn about wine, beer, mixed drinks...relax, have some down time. The KidsZone, sponsored by Favourite Things, is where your children can bounce their hearts out, do some arts and crafts and watch a clown show among other things...making this a family event for all.

Taste Dubai 3I'm very excited because the Atlantis the Palm Hotel & Resort, known for being a gourmet destination in the heart of the Middle East, is bringing their top restaurants! They are bringing some of their most celebrated luminaries, Nobu Matsuhisa and Giorgio Locatelli to this year’s Taste of Dubai. Nobu will be serving their signature Black Cod Yuzu Miso, Sashimi Tacos and Mochi Ice Cream, amongst others. Seafire with Chef Joe Hlusko, Saffron with Chef Vincent Lee and Ronda Locatelli with Chef Alessandro Bottazzi, all located at Atlantis, will also be sampling a variety of dishes from around the globe. One of their restaurants making an appearance, Ronda Locatelli, is one I've had the pleasure of enjoying. The food was savory, straight out of Italy, complete with the brick fire oven for delicious pizzas which my kids couldn't stop talking about. I can't wait for you all to try it and see for yourself. You can get a sneak peek of what you can expect from the Atlantis chefs here.Chef Atul
