This holiday season, when you are making your gift lists, have you thought of gifting travel? Purchasing gift cards for travel can be truly win-win, and a great way to help a friend or family member finance a dream vacation.
When deciding which cards to buy, think carefully about which gift cards will be most likely used. Some airlines offer gift cards, but if your gift recipient isn't going to use them, it may just be wasted money. Other companies, such as Walt Disney World, offer gift cards that can be used throughout the resort, or in store at the Disney store.
Keep in mind that some grocery stores offer gift cards, as well as gas promotions. Purchasing gift cards can quickly add up to big savings on gas, so make strategic purchases. And, if you can put the gift cards on a credit card that gives you miles or travel points - it's a win for you!
