I don't go anywhere without my iPhone, and there are a variety of apps available to help moms and dads with their travel plans and while traveling. But, it's difficult to wade through which ones are worth it and which aren't. Here are my favorite iPhone travel apps:
Lines by Touring Plans - the app is free, but you do need a paid subscription to Touringplans.com. This is an amazing time-saving app - because you'll know what the lines are like without needing to run around the parks. It also gives suggestions about which parks to visit on which day. It's a must have! Make sure that you get the correct app though - there are several with this name, but this one is the most comprehensive.
Walt Disney World Complete Travel Guide - created by Doug Ingersoll, one of my fellow Walt Disney World Moms Panelists and author of the Complete Idiot's Guide to Walt Disney World, this guide offers maps, restaurant info, hotel info, and attraction info, along with ratings. It's $4.99, and worth every penny.
Urbanspoon - want to dine at a local restaurant while on vacation? The Urbanspoon app lets you choose your cuisine, location, and cost preferences. It links to menus where available, and is free.
Kayak - Free app that let's you search for cheap flights and hotels. Once you are traveling, you can use the app to find amenities and food at the airport.
What are your favorite travel apps?
