I'm fairly certain that there were no Africans on the Mayflower, yet Thanksgiving is an important holiday in Black communities everywhere. It is a time for families to come together and celebrate the the wonderous flavor that is uniquely our own. Soul Food! Soul Music! A soul inspiring time!
