No Gravatar2009 Nissan MuranoWhile the weather today was beyond miserable, we just got a special delivery from Nissan – thanks to TravelingMom.com. For the next two weeks, Role Mommy and her brood will be test driving the 2009 Nissan Murano SUV. First things first. While a man might take a look under the hood to check out the engine, the first thing I noticed was the sapphire blue color and beige leather interior. Oh, and did I mention the space age ignition key? There’s actually no key! Just a device that you slip inside the ignition, step on the brake, press start and Voila! You’re off to the races. Or in my case, you’re off to the toy store and the pet store so you can purchase a birthday present and a tank for a brand new lizard who will be joining your family starting tomorrow. After my daughter and I took the car out for a mini spin, she was overjoyed to find that the seats are heated in the back – the first we’ve ever experienced 2nd row heated seats. Plus, the sun roof is as cool as our Tiguan sunroof – it extends from front to back which means everybody gets a great sky view. The dashboard is state of the art – with a killer media system – BOSE stereo speakers, ipod adapter, rear camera, GPS…I still have to play around with it – which I plan to do when we head to the Hamptons this weekend, but from what I can see already, it is right up my alley – all technology, all the time. Oh, and did I mention the electric trunk? With the press of a button, the trunk opens by itself! No more broken finger nails when I try to yank the trunk open while balancing three shopping bags in my other hand. Here’s a trunk shot just so you can see how cool it is. I’ll be sharing video footage of our road trips too, so stay tuned and find out how the Feldmans fare these next two weeks in the Nissan Murano. It’ll be an adventure you won’t want to miss!
Gotta love an electric trunk.[the trunk opens automatically...gotta love that feature!]

I had a Murano for 4 years and I loved it. We just got an Armada because we needed more room….I miss my Murano.

She’s gorgeous! And I love all the thoughtful features like second-row heated seats and remote trunk opening – shows that Nissan is really thinking about each and every passenger. Can’t wait to see here more!

I love the space age key on the Nissan Hybrid also. With the Hybrid, there isn’t even an ignition, you just have to have the “key” in the car when you press the start button.

How lucky are you. I love taking a new car out for a test drive, rain or no rain!

I love the Nissan Muranos! My husband and I have been saying that when the time comes to get another car (which might be soon), we want a Murano. Hope you enjoy it!

This car sounds amazing. Now if only it had a window that you could close (like a taxi does) to block off the noise from the back seat …

I would never look under the hood! I’m with you – I go straight to comfort and technology (if it’s easy to use). I’m all about space. Having lots of space for everyone. Heaven forbid my 13 y/o’s arm hairs touch my 11 y/o’s. So, is there SPACE inside?

Since we’re currently on a 2000-mile road trip in a very old and stinky sedan, I’m more than a little jealous! This car looks great – hope you’re having fun.

My ten year old Audi (yes 10) has only 40,000 miles on it. (that’s city life for you.) But reading this…I think I may want a new car!!
