Beaches Resort in Negril Should Be Your Next Family Vacation
Picking a place to take your family on vacation can be challenging. We all want to go to Disneyland, but there is a place just a short plane ride from Florida that you should consider. Beaches Resorts in Negril. Here are 6 reasons why you should make it your next family vacation destination.
1. Everywhere you look, the view is beautiful.
Negril faces directly west and its Seven-Mile Beach is known as one of the best in the world. From sunrise to sunset, Beaches Resorts in Negril has views that will keep you snapping photos non-stop. This location has seven unique restaurants (we did not go in them, but my friends did and raved), three shimmering pools, and action-packed Pirates island Waterpark, and a 2-story stand-alone Red Lane Spa. We loved walking on the beach and listening to small waves come in. Our feet were so comfortable walking on the softest sand I have ever felt. My daughter wanted to dive in and sleep in it!
2. The food rules.
As a Kosher Travelingmom, I made a special request for kosher meals before the trip. I was introduced to Conray, the Chef at Beaches Resorts that would be making sure my meals were kosher and plenty. Not only was he the one preparing the meals, he personally delivered them. He even came out to the beach to ask if we wanted our meal there. I must admit, It is hard to be at an all-inclusive resort with endless food buffets. It all looks so tempting, but, with Conray taking care of us we were thrilled with our choices.
3. Kids Camp.
My daughter loved this camp. The staff was lovely and so attentive to each child. The camp has an outside area as well as an air conditioned playroom for the kids. The added bonus of Beaches Resorts being the only Caribbean resort complete with Sesame Street characters is that they make appearances at the camp as well. While my daughter was in the camp, she made cookies with Cookie Monster, had tea at Abby & Elmo’s Surprise Tea Time. and went to a Super Grover Super Science Fair. She also had a blast at the Elmo and Friends Rock ‘n’ Roll Dance Party. The kids were so pumped-up from it that they kept dancing on their own afterwards. Nothing makes a parent happier than seeing their kids happy and creative on the dance floor. It was just as entertaining as the show.
4. The staff at Beaches Resorts are exceptional.
Service with a smile, and a genuine one is what you will get. They make you feel a part of their family the minute you get out of the shuttle fro m Montego Bay. They are especially loving to the kids. Even outside of the camp, the staff came up to my daughter and gave her a hug. She really loved that. The staff was always checking in on us as well. I was asked several times if I wanted a beverage brought to me on the beach! This had me in so many “pinch me moments”, I lost count! Isn’t it mom and dad that are always making sure everybody in the family has what they need? This treatment recharged my batteries!
They have a spa here too! The minute you walk into the Red Lane full-service spa, you fall into relaxation mode. The scent of lemongrass is just what the doctor ordered. Since I was on a very special “pinch me now” press trip, I was offered “Tropical Bliss” massage for 50 minutes. This is the Red Lane Spa version of the traditional stress-relieving Swedish massage. It was wonderful. Perfect for mom and dad. The beauty of this is that my daughter was in the camp having a great time while I was in a heavenly massage. Bliss!
6. They give back to the community.
The Sandals foundation, a nonprofit organization, is how both Sandals and Beaches Resorts give back to the local community. This is essential to the Sandals Foundation and they have already impacted 80,000 lives across the Caribbean through more 100 community programs and continues its promise to channel 100 percent of its funds into the Caribbean region. This is the idea of Jamaican entrepreneur Gordon “Butch” Stewart. A true business success story. Mr. Stewart did not inherit the Caribbean’s most successful vacation spot, he built it from nothing. A natural business person, Stewart began his career selling air conditioners door-to-door, and, in 1968, founded Appliance Traders Limited. In 1981, he saw a rundown hotel next to an airport runway in Montego Bay, Jamaica and invested his money into it. Today, that hotel is part of Sandals Resorts, one of the Caribbean’s swankiest hotel chains and one of the travel industry’s most recognized worldwide brands.
